The REDFLY C7 features the same award-winning design architecture as the original REDFLY C8 but is lighter, more power-efficient and less expensive. Weighing in at only 1.46 lbs., the C7 comes with a 5-hour/2,000 mAh battery and a 7-inch, 800x480-pixel display.

No OS, CPU, Syncing or Storage

REDFLY is a Smartphone Terminal, not another platform to image, manage or support. REDLFY has no moving parts, boots instantly, and connects to your smartphone in less than 5 seconds over USB or wireless Bluetooth. REDFLY runs the existing applications on your smartphone so there's no need to purchase additional software licenses for a new device. REDFLY changes your smartphone's output resolution to 800x480 pixels giving you more “real estate” on the REDLFY screen to see and do more increasing your productivity.

Full Keyboard

REDFLY features an 8.3-inch, 80-key full QWERTY keyboard giving you the freedom to instantly respond to lengthy emails, take notes or work on complex spreadsheets.

Charge Your Phone While Working

Use one of REDFLY's powered USB ports to charge your smartphone while you work.

REDFLY Media Port (model C8N only)

Play composite NTSC or PAL analog video on your REDFLY from external media players such as iPods, Zunes, iPhones, digital cameras, DVD players, etc.  Click for more information about the REDFLY Media Port.

800x600-pixel Support

In addition to supporting 800x480-pixel mode, the REDFLY now supports 800x600-pixel output resolution mode. Enter this mode by selecting the F11 key. Choose either resolution and one of the following modes: LCD only, VGA only, or LCD and VGA. With the 800x600 mode, the REDFLY will output 800x600 to the VGA out port and will support panning on the built-in REDFLY screen. Just move the screen up or down by using the touchpad.  This feature is backwards compatible with the original REDFLY C8 via a free firmware upgrade.

Enhanced 5-way Navigation Mode

Use the FN + 5 keys to access the 5-way navigation cursor to mirror the way this functions on your smartphone using REDFLY's touchpad as a 5-way navigation control pad. This setting is particularly well suited for non-touchscreen Windows Mobile Standard phones that do not accept mouse type commands from REDFLY's touchpad or other pointing devices. This feature is backwards compatible with the original REDFLY C8 via a free firmware upgrade.

Advanced Settings

Choose one of three new settings to enhance your REDFLY experience. From your REDFLY you can now choose to enable or disable auto-correct, word completion or Clear Type support.  In addition, if you have a device like the Symbol MC70 that supports a high DPI mode, a setting is available to enable or disable this functionality. This feature is backwards compatible with the original REDFLY C8 via a free firmware upgrade.

New Keyboard Layout

The REDFLY models C7 and C8N feature a new keyboard layout based on customer input and requests. Left and right menu softkeys and the Send and End keys are now in more intuitive and easy to reach location. The OK key is now near the arrow keys. To access REDFLY settings while connected to your smartphone, press the “FN” and “menu-REDFLY logo” keys at the same time.
