Celio Corporation, Maker of REDFLY Mobile Companion, Adds Mark Christensen and Sam Arditi to Company Board
-Renowned executives helping direct and expand the market for mobile computing technology-
February 12, 2008, SALT LAKE CITY - Celio Corp. (www.celiocorp.com), an innovator of seamless and efficient mobile solutions for the smartphone market, today announced the addition of Mark Christensen as chairman of the board and Sam Arditi as a member of the company’s board.
Today's news comes on the heels of the company's recent launch of the REDFLY Mobile Companion, a ground-breaking new device that extends the smartphone platform to a larger display, keyboard, and mouse. The REDFLY and a smartphone create a single mobile platform for easy access to email, attachments, web and business applications. At that launch, the REDFLY Mobile Companion was named CES Innovations Honoree for Enabling Technology.
"The industry's reception to the REDFLY Mobile Companion has been nothing short of phenomenal," said Kirt Bailey, Celio Corp. CEO. "We are working to take mobile computing to the next level, and these two renowned individuals will be very instrumental in helping us accomplish this goal."
Mark Christensen recently left Intel Corporation after a 23-year career, where he was corporate vice president and director of communications sectors for Intel Capital. Mr. Christensen was responsible for managing Intel Capital's investments in mobile devices and communications infrastructure, which included all equity investments, and M&A activity for cellular, wired and wireless networking and communications. Mark is a two-time winner of Intel's highest award for excellence, the "Intel Achievement Award.” He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University. He also received a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon.
Sam Arditi is a successful entrepreneur who spent six years at Intel after the acquisition of DSPC, the company he managed (Symbol: DSPC). Arditi's most recent role at Intel was the vice president and general manager for the Cellular and Handheld Group (CHG). In late 2006 CHG was sold to Marvell for $600 million. Before joining Intel, Arditi was CEO and co-founder of CTP Systems, a company specializing in satellite and wireless systems. The company merged with DSPC and Arditi was appointed general manager and chief operating officer of DSPC.
Under Arditi's leadership, DSPC was acquired by Intel, setting the record as the largest ever cash acquisition by Intel. In 1995 Arditi founded ComBox, a cable communications company, and served as the chairman of the board. In February 2000, he led the acquisition of ComBox by Terayon, a publicly traded U.S. company. In 1995, he received the Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation Award for the most successful deal between a U.S. and Israeli company for that year. Arditi received his bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Ben Gurion University in Israel in 1986.
