REDFLY™ Product Installation
Celio Corp provides the ability to unleash the power of your smartphone in as little as five minutes. Simply download the the REDFLY software driver to your PC and then transfer the files to your phone using the links below OR download the files directly over-the-air (OTA) through your phone's browser at
m.celiocorp.com.
Installing the REDFLY software OTA directly from your phone's browser is the fastest, easiest and recommend method if you have internet access on your smartphone.
Before installing any software to your phone, please insure that it is one of the supported smartphones on our tested and approved list. With the new 1.5.1.330 release, we now support a large number of Windows Mobile 6.0/6.1/6.5 phones as well as select BlackBerry 4.6/4.7/5.0 phones.
At this time, we do not have driver installations for other popular mobile operating systems like Android, Symbian, or iPhone though we plan to provide support for those and other platforms in the future.
The Windows Mobile install has been modified significantly with the 1.5 release. Both the driver for the phone and the appropriate version of firmware for the REDFLY are now packaged together in one cab file. Simply run the cab install on your phone. The next time you connect that phone to your REDFLY, the firmware version will automatically be checked. If needed, you will be prompted to update the firmware at that time.
IMPORTANT: If you wish to use a BlackBerry phone with a REDFLY purchased before November 1, 2009, you must first use a Windows Mobile phone with the current download available here to update the REDFLY. Until the REDFLY has been upgraded to the 1.5 version, it will not be "BlackBerry aware" and the phone will fail to connect to the REDFLY. Please see the installation instructions or the User Guide for more detailed information on how to proceed.
REALLY IMPORTANT: Unlike desktop systems, which are highly interchangeable, smartphones vary considerably by hardware platform, operating system and even carrier customization. Customers have occasionally found that our drivers will install and run on smartphones that are not included on our supported smartphone list. Please note that you do so at your own risk and that Celio Corp will not be responsible for any issues that result from installing on a non-supported device. In general, you should first backup everything on your phone, as in rare cases we have received reports that installing our driver on unsupported devices can cause the phone to become unresponsive and result in the need for a hard reset.
