BlackBerry Bluetooth Setup Instructions

Here you'll find optional instructions for connecting REDFLY to your BlackBerry via wireless Bluetooth. No USB cable is required to set up or use REDFLY if you follow the instructions below. Bluetooth Set-up and Pairing Instructions

Step 1: Install Driver
Follow Step 1 on Page 1 in the REDFLY Quick Start Guide to download and install the REDFLY driver to your phone. If you've already installed the REDFLY driver to your phone, go to Step 2 below.

Step 2: Enable Bluetooth on Driver
A:Go to your downloads folder.

B: Click on the REDFLY application.

C: Press the BlackBerry Logo Menu Key and choose Advanced.

D: Set the "Allow Bluetooth" setting to Enabled.

E: Press the BlackBerry Logo Menu Key, choose Close and click Save if asked to save.

Step 3: Enable Bluetooth on Your Phone
A:Launch the Manage Connections app.

B: Make sure the Bluetooth Checkbox is checked, then scroll down and select Bluetooth Options.

C: Press the BlackBerry Logo Menu key and choose Options.

D: Set the Discoverable setting to Yes. Press the BlackBerry Logo Menu key, select Close and click Save if asked to save.

Step 4: Pair
A:Turn on your REDFLY. While holding down the FN key, press the F7 Bluetooth key then release both keys. REDFLY will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

B:Choose your phone when it appears in the list on the REDFLY screen and click Connect to begin the pairing process.

C:An authentication window on the REDFLY will appear displaying a 4-digit code.

D:Enter the 4-digit code into your BlackBerry when prompted, then press your BlackBerry's Enter key. A pop-up window on the REDFLY will confirm the paring was successful.

Step 5: Trust
On your BlackBerry, launch the Manage Connections app, scroll to the bottom and select Bluetooth Options. Press the BlackBerry logo Menu key, and choose Device Properties. Set the Trusted setting to Yes. Press the BlackBerry Logo Menu key, select Close and click Save if asked to save.

Step 6: Connect
First-time setup is now complete and you are ready to connect to REDFLY anytime over Bluetooth. To connect, make sure your phone and the REDFLY are on then press REDFLY's F7 Bluetooth key.
